About The Scheme

Manufacturing SMEs across the UK can benefit from up to 43% funding from grants to use towards obtaining ISO certification. The scheme has already supported over 2,000 manufacturers to date and created over 3,200 new jobs across England. The grant can be used for the following ISO standards:

  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems)
  • ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management Systems)
  • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems)
  • ISO 27001 (Information Security Management Systems)

In order to qualify, you must:

  • Be a manufacturing SME – your company or group of companies must have fewer than 250 employees, a turnover less than or equal to €50 million, OR a balance sheet total less than or equal to €43 million.
  • Demonstrate an intention to grow/improve – e.g. through increased turnover, and increased jobs.
  • Be located in one of the following areas: South East Midlands, South East, Solent, Hertfordshire, Enterprise M3, Sheffield, Humber, York North Yorkshire East Riding, Leeds City Region, Worcestershire, The Marches, Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire, Leicester & Leicestershire, Greater Lincolnshire, Greater Birmingham & Solihull, D2N2, Coventry & Warwickshire, Black Country.

Are there any sectors that are not eligible?

Businesses operating within the following sectors are unfortunately not eligible:

  • Fishery and aquaculture
  • Primary production, processing, and marketing of agricultural products
  • Coal, steel, and shipbuilding
  • Synthetic fibres

Is my company suitable?

As long as you meet the requirements above, your company should be eligible. Once you have expressed an interest by getting in touch with Candy Management Consultants, an initial discussion will determine suitability for the scheme.

How much funding will I receive?

Grant values are specific to each business application. This is based on a variety of factors, including your region.

Maximum project value of £10,000 with a minimum grant value of £1,000.

How do I apply?

The application process is very simple.

  2. Based on the company details we take, we will determine your suitability for the scheme.
  3. If eligible, a diagnostic tool will be completed with your senior management – this generate a comprehensive report of where your business is currently.
  4. The report will be analysed and an action plan & potential improvement project will be discussed/carried out
  5. A Grant Offer Letter is issued outlining the priorities, quantifying and qualifying the anticipated outcomes and benefits of support provided.
  6. The project must be completed within 4 months
