About Dixon Group

Dixon Group Ltd, based in Hull, comprises three specialist building services companies, providing complete project management on developments for commercial clients. Their teams offer everything from design and installation to ongoing maintenance and servicing – for large industrial sites, retail developments, offices, local authorities, the NHS, building contractors, and numerous engineering consultancies.

Which Standard Was Implemented?

ISO 9001:2015, the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems was implemented. Mike Poole, their consultant spent 13 days over two years working on the project.

Why Did They Want ISO?

Dixon Group wanted to implement ISO 9001 and needed some support in the process. They were looking to formalise their internal processes to help them identify continual improvement opportunities. By having the standard implemented, it helps them to tender for work and win bigger contracts.

How We Helped

Dixon Grou’s consultant, Mike, completed a gap analysis on the standard initially and then worked through the action plan to implement the standard with the Dixon Group team around the business departments. The company also went through a department restructure during this time, so the processes and management system were changed to reflect this. Dixon Group has since achieved ISO certification via the UKAS Accredited route and maintained their certification since.
